Saint Patrick's Day is a day of music, drinks and good food that is enjoyed with friends and family. All around the world it is celebrated and regardless of its origins, it is now known as a day to have fun and laughter.
Saint Patrick's Day is on the 17th March but because this date is not a holiday in Italy we started celebrating it on the closest weekend. This year we are doing Irish Month and we will hold our Irish Events every Sunday throughout March, and from this year forwards we are relocating it to the farm! We promise you Irish music, Irish Food, Irish beer (on tap) and fun for all the kids with an entertainer, pony rides and many Irish themed activities! |

What is there to do?On the day of the event you will be welcomed to enter the farm. We invite you to come wearing green to join the spirit of the day!
Once inside the farm you can go to visit and feed all the animals. Our Irish Festival will now become the first open day of the season for us and you will also get to see what we have changed and introduced during the winter... new animals, new areas.... new surprises! There will be live Irish music played by our Irish friends from Dublin. Dancing is a big part of Irish celebrating and you will be invited to dance, if you'd like! There will be ample free seating and space to relax and enjoy the irish atmosphere. |
Our Irish festival days are packed with fun for the kids, allowing the adults to relax! Not only is there a farm full of animals to visit and feed, but there will also be organised activities with our favourite entertainer.
One of the highlights is the search for the leprechaun's pot of gold, hidden at the end of a rainbow. As legend has it, it will be filled with golden coins. Our local leprechaun has a sweet tooth, so he tends to fill his pot up with chocolate coins!! The kids this year will also get to meet the leprechaun in person, no doubt he will have tales to tell and games to play .... but be warned ... he is a trickster and will certainly have some fun in store for you all! There will be a quieter moment for Irish fables and also some crazy time for the kids to let off some energy. The activities will also include fun with bubbles, an activity table, to make some Irish themed things they can take home, and much more. The activities are all included in the entry price. Throughout the day there will be face painting and donkey/pony rides available included in the entry price (see below). |
Just like in Italy when Irish people party there has to be food and drink! We love to bring new experiences for your tastebuds to try, but also recognise we are in Abruzzo and therefore you can expect some traditional dishes too!
Food: We are excited to have Mo' Sci join us again at the farm for this event, serving food alongside the food we sell, so you can choose from a selection, including Irish Stew, Arrosticini, Tagliere, Sheep Burgers, Fish & Chips and Soda Bread. For desert there will be Irish Bread Pudding and Irish apple crumble among other options. Drinks: We will, as always, have a range of drinks available, including natural wines, beer, water and fizzy drinks. For our Irish Festival we will of course have Guinness on draught, a selection of the best Irish Whiskeys (we invented Whiskey not the Scottish!), and of course there will be local artisan beer on draught too, which we can even colour green for you if you'd like! Given recent changes in drinking laws we will also have a lovely selection of alcohol free craft beers! |
