Saint Patricks day is a day enjoyed with friends and famil, music, drinks and good food. All around the world it is celebrated and regardless of its origins, it is now known as a day to have fun and laughter.
Saint Patrick's Day is the 17th March but because this date is not a holiday we started celebrating it on the closest weekend. This year we are doing Irish Month and we will hold the St Patrick's Event every Sunday throughout March and from this year forwards we are relocating it to the farm! We promise you Irish music, Irish Food, Irish beer (on tap) and fun for all the kids with an entertainer, pony rides and some Irish themed activities! |

What is there to do?On the day of the event you will be welcomed to enter the farm. We invite you to come wearing green to join the spirit of the day!
Once inside the farm you can go to visit and feed all the animals. Instead of Easter this will now become the first day of the season for us and you will also get to see what we have changed and introduced during the winter... new animals, new areas.... new surprises! There will be live Irish music played by our Irish friends from Dublin. Dancing is big party of Irish celebrating and you will be invited to dance if youd like! We will have some market stalls at the farm with handmade items and some local foods. There will be ample free seating and space to relax and enjoy the irish atmosphere. |
Our St. Patrick's festival days are packed with fun for the kids, allowing the adults to relax! Not only is there a farm full of animals to visit and feed, but there will also be organised activities with our favourite entertainer.
One of the highlights is the search for the leprauchan's pot of gold, hidden at the end of a rainbow. As legend has it, it will be filled with golden coins. Our local leprauchan has a sweet tooth, so he tends to fill his pot up with chocholate coins!! The kids may even be lucky enough to meet him...but be warned...he is a trickster and will certainly have some fun in store forr you all! There will be a quieter moment for Irish fables and also some crazy time for the kids to let off some energy. The activities will also include fun with bubbles an activity table to make some Irish themed things they can take home and much more. In addition to the activities we will also be offering donkey or pony rides. This will have an extra coist of €2.50 for children with free entry tickets but one ride is included free* for kids who paid entry. *weight/size limit applies |
Just like in Italy when Irish people party there has to be food and drink! We love to bring new exxperiences for your tastebuds to try but also recognise we are in Abruzzo and therefore you can expect some traditional dishes too!
Food: We will have guest food vendors at the farm serving food alongside the food we sell, so you can choose from a selection including: Irish Stew, Arrosticini, Tagliere, Sheep Burgers, SHepherds Pie, Soda Bread and chips, For desert there will be Irish Bread Pudding and Irish apple crumble among other options. Drinks: We will as always have a range of drinks available including natural wines, beer, water and fizzy drinks.
